Shipping policy

As a dropshipper, we rely on our suppliers to fulfill orders on our behalf. This means that the shipping times for your orders may vary from those stated on our website. In order to provide the most accurate information to our customers, we ask for a lead time of 3-5 business days for each order. This lead time allows us to coordinate with our suppliers, process the order, and ensure that your items are shipped to you as quickly as possible.

Please note that the shipping times provided on our website are estimated and may be subject to change based on the availability of the items, shipping method selected, and the destination of the order. In the event that shipping times change, we will do our best to communicate this information to you in a timely manner.

We understand that timely delivery is important to our customers and we make every effort to ensure that your orders are delivered in a prompt and efficient manner. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the shipping times for your order, please do not hesitate to contact us.

All of our standard retail product orders that are not dropshipped, ship Monday through Friday, although our shipping days may change without notice. Orders that are not dropshipped must be received by 12pm EST to ship on the next shipping day.

Live Animals

Live animal and feeder orders ship on Wednesdays. We will not ship any live animal  without email confirmation from you (the buyer) of your agreement to our shipping terms and anticipated arrival date(s). You must confirm via email that you are able to receive your shipment, or your order will be held by us until you are able to confirm.

We do not accept returns or refunds on live goods. Please be sure you are making your purchases after educating yourself on the husbandry requirements of your animals, and the laws in your state.

Feeders and Clean Up Crews (CUCs) are shipped via USPS to your residence, and packaged appropriately for the weather in your local area. This may include heat packs or cold packs, when appropriate, at no additional cost to you. USPS delivery time is not guaranteed, but usually takes 2-3 days. When ordering rare or delicate feeder or clean up crew species, as indicated in their description, we will automatically ship your order via USPS Priority Mail on Mondays ONLY and have your shipment held at your local post office. If you have more than one local post office, we will ask that you confirm the one your prefer before shipping. 

Please be mindful that when you pick up your shipment from your local post office, you will need to provide your name as it appears on your order, and the local post office's address--not your home address. This aids the postal workers in locating your box as quickly as possible. We offer our LAG on all feeders, CUCs, and non-venomous invertebrates that are held at your local post office. We do not offer our LAG for feeders, CUCs, and non-venomous invertebrates shipped to residential addresses.  

With the exception of our feeders, clean up crews (springtails and isopods), and non-venomous invertebrates, we ONLY ship via FedEx. We ONLY ship to FedEx ship centers via Fedex Priority Overnight Service. We are do not ship to businesses or residential addresses at this time. You will be asked to confirm your local FedEx ship center address before your shipment is sent, so we ask that you please verify all shipment details in advance of shipping. We will make every effort to assist you with this process, and encourage you to reach out if you have any  questions. We will not be responsible for any typos or erroneous entries on your part, so please verify information carefully.

LAG only applies to animals shipped via FedEx Priority overnight, and USPS orders held at your local post office. FedEX shipments must be picked up within three (3) hours of notification that your box is available for pickup. Any pickup after this three hour window of time voids your Live Arrival Guarantee. The three hour window for pickup starts when FedEx sends notification to your phone or email of record that your animal is available for pickup. We encourage you to use the FedEx app or website to create alerts for your package, so you have exact times of arrival and pickup availability. We will not be responsible for packages picked up after the three hour window, so please plan your time accordingly.

Our USPS LAG covers the delivery date of your order. It is advised that you pick up your order as soon as it is available on the delivery date, to prevent it being held past the delivery date, and voiding your LAG. Again, live animals shipped to residential addresses are not eligible for our LAG.

In the event of extreme or inclement weather (anything below 40ºF or above 88ºF) we reserve the right to delay shipment until temperatures are safe for shipping. We are not responsible for missed deliveries, carrier delays, carrier mishandling and/or damage to your shipment, extreme weather, and/or any unforeseen event that impacts shipping times or delivery times. Your items will be packaged with the utmost care and will be our responsibility until the moment your package is no longer in our possession. It is the buyer's responsibility to use the provided tracking number to track their order. If you believe you have not received a tracking number, please check your junk mail folder before contacting us, and make sure you have our email saved for any future correspondence related to shipping. It is the recipients' responsibility to make sure they pick up their animals within the proper timeframe with proper identification OR pick up using a designated representative who is 18 yrs of age or older, and has proper ID.  

In the unlikely event that your animals are Dead On Arrival (DOA), you will be asked to submit a clear photo of the animal with a pin or nail placed through the head and abdomen of the animal, or a clear picture of the animal cut neatly in half within three hours of receipt. Confirmed DOAs will be replaced on the customer's next live animal order, providing that replacement stock is available, OR a credit, less shipping fees, will be applied to the customer's next order. There will be NO REFUNDS of the animal(s) or shipping fees. In the event that a replacement animal is DOA, no further replacements or credits will be provided to the customer and, at our discretion, a hold on live animal purchases may be placed on the customer's account until further notice.

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase live animals and/or feeders. Proof of age may be required, and is solely at our discretion

Additional Disclaimers

We do not ship Dubia Roaches (Blaptica dubia), Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches (ANY Gromphadorhina portensia morph), or Turkestan Roaches (Shelfordella lateralis)  to Florida and Hawaii. We reserve the right to extend this list to remain in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
